Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the monsterion website, game clients (including on the web and the Solana Seeker / Solana dApp Store), on-chain tools, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by the monsterion project ("monsterion", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service — including buying, selling, staking, or holding digital assets — is lawful in your jurisdiction. The Service is not offered to persons in jurisdictions where such use is prohibited, and you may not use it if you are subject to applicable sanctions.

2. The Service

monsterion is a game and a set of non-custodial tools built on the Solana blockchain, including a token launchpad, fee-routing and staking modules, a treasury/portfolio viewer, a cosmetics ("skins") marketplace, and gameplay features such as ranked 1v1 matches and a social "Tavern." Features are provided on an as-is, evolving basis and may change, pause, or be discontinued at any time.

3. Non-custodial wallets & digital assets

The Service is non-custodial. We never take custody of, hold, or control your funds, private keys, or seed phrases. You alone are responsible for your wallet, your keys, and every transaction you sign. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; we cannot reverse, cancel, or recover them. Network fees, slippage, failed transactions, and smart-contract behavior are outside our control.

4. No financial, investment, or legal advice

Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Tokens referenced in the Service (including $IONS and genesis IONS / gIONS) are intended as utility and in-game items, not securities, investments, or a promise of profit. No return, yield, price, or value is promised or guaranteed. Rewards, if any, are variable and depend on trading volume, reserve size, market rates, third-party protocols, and total participation, and may decrease, pause, or become zero. Digital assets are highly volatile and you may lose the entire value of what you commit.

5. Third-party protocols & services

The Service interacts with third-party protocols and services, including Solana, Meteora, Kamino, Jupiter, Sanctum/JupSOL, RPC providers, wallet providers, and app-store platforms (including the Solana dApp Store / Solana Seeker and itch.io). We do not control and are not responsible for those third parties, their smart contracts, or their terms. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

6. User conduct

You agree not to: (a) break any law or regulation; (b) infringe others' rights; (c) exploit, attack, or interfere with the Service, its smart contracts, or other users (including bots that abuse matchmaking, cheating, or market manipulation); (d) use the Service to launder money or evade sanctions; (e) post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or abusive content in chat, the Tavern, or any social feature; or (f) misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.

7. Game accounts & user content

You are responsible for activity under your account and for content you submit (chat messages, names, metadata). We may moderate, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Some social features route messages to third-party services (including AI/LLM providers) to power in-character NPCs — see the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The monsterion name, art, characters, and software are owned by monsterion or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for rights expressly granted, you receive no license to our intellectual property. Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that smart contracts are free of vulnerabilities. Use involves smart-contract risk, market risk, liquidity risk, stablecoin risk, and third-party protocol risk.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, monsterion AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, ASSETS, TOKENS, OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless monsterion and its contributors from any claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
